Summer Reading 📚 Recs & Women Crush Wednesday Recap

What We’re Loving: (Summer Reading)

If only there was more time in the day to read… when we do have a chance to unwind with a book it’s heaven!  We aren’t the type to read one book at a time, we love having the variety of books depending on the days mood. Typically our nightstand has a mix; light fiction, thrillers you can’t put down till 3am, and non-fiction brain mostly power/self improvement book. Here’s our current mix, all reviews by www.goodreads.com
Summer reading recommendation
“The Couple Next Door” by Shari Lapena was one of those reads we blew threw in days.  “A domestic suspense debut about a young couple and their apparently friendly neighbors--a twisty, roller coaster ride of lies, betrayal, and the secrets between husbands and wives. . .”
“Glass Houses” by Louise Penny “In Glass Houses, her latest utterly gripping book, number-one New York Times bestselling author Louise Penny shatters the conventions of the crime novel to explore what Gandhi called the court of conscience. A court that supersedes all others.”
“The Myth of a Nice Girl” by Fran Hauser “A candid guide for ambitious women who want to succeed without losing themselves in the process. Fran Hauser deconstructs the negative perception of "niceness" that many women struggle with in the business world. If women are nice, they are seen as weak and ineffective, but if they are tough, they are labeled a bitch.”
“Girl Wash Your Face” by Rachel Hollis “With wry wit and hard-earned wisdom, popular online personality and founder of TheChicSite.com founder Rachel Hollis helps readers break free from the lies keeping them from the joy-filled and exuberant life they are meant to have.”
“Crazy Rich Asians” by Kevin Kwan “Outrageously funny debut novel about three super-rich, pedigreed Chinese families and the gossip, backbiting, and scheming that occurs when the heir to one of the most massive fortunes in Asia brings home his ABC (American-born Chinese) girlfriend to the wedding of the season.”
“All The Missing Girls” by Megan Miranda “Like the spellbinding psychological suspense in The Girl on the Train and Luckiest Girl Alive, Megan Miranda’s novel is a nail-biting, breathtaking story about the disappearances of two young women—a decade apart—told in reverse.”
Send us your must have summer reads because there’s nothing better than a great book recommendation. With summer officially here cheers to pool time with a good book!
